Baseball Recap: Solon Springs Eagles vs. Flambeau Falcons
Solon Springs had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Flambeau Falcons onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Solon Springs also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2016.
Even though they lost, Flambeau didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 15 strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.
Flambeau's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Solon Springs will take on Flambeau at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Flambeau, they will head out on the road to square off against Winter/Birchwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flambeau is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
