Basketball Recap: Eleanor Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Eleanor Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 75-59 bruising from the Laurel Spartans. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Laurel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Brown led the charge by putting up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amadou Kaloga, who posted 18 points.

Eleanor Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Laurel, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eleanor Roosevelt has already played their next contest (against Parkdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Laurel will face off against Patuxent at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
