Basketball Recap: Rangely Drops Season-High Score on Soroco

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rangely). They blew past the Soroco Rams, posting an 83-24 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Leading Rangely to victory were Kacey Allred and Lincoln Harris. Allred went 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals, while Harris went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points along with seven boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Harris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Clay Allred, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Rangely smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Rangely's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Soroco, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Rangely wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-61 loss against Meeker on the 14th. Soroco has also already played their next game, a 39-27 victory against South Park on the 18th.
