Baseball Game Preview: Steele Knights vs. Johnson Jaguars

The Steele Knights will square off against the Johnson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Steele 3, Johnson 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Steele headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Canyon let them put that streak behind them. The Knights put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 12-3 win on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Knights' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Johnson was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They fell just short of Reagan by a score of 4-2.

Steele is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
