Basketball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

After soaring to 100 points the game before, Westview was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Agua Fria Owls. The Knights were down 39-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Agua Fria's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Genesis Rios, who posted 13 points and five steals. Rios is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Saleen Rios was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Agua Fria, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Westview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 92-4 defeat against Mesquite on the 17th. As for Agua Fria, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-37 victory against Mohave on the 17th.
