Louisville dropped their record down to 6-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Chardon Hilltoppers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Leopards have suffered since March 29th.

Greyson Brunoni was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brock Leghart, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

As for Chardon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

On Chardon's side, Cal Smith was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Smith a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Louisville will head out on the road to take on GlenOak at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chardon, they will square off against Brush at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
