Maize is a perfect 5-0 against Valley Center since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Maize Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Valley Center Hornets at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Maize's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

Maize is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past South to the tune of 81-39 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Valley Center came up short against Hutchinson on Tuesday and fell 60-47.

Maize pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Valley Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Maize didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Valley Center in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maize since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
