Soccer Recap: Atascadero Comes Up Short

Atascadero lost against Pioneer Valley back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greyhounds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. One thing that didn't help Atascadero's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Kaden Betschart.

Atascadero's goal came courtesy of Carlos Franco, which was the first he's scored this season.

Atascadero's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Pioneer Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Atascadero will take on Santa Maria in a tournament on Saturday. As for Pioneer Valley, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Redwood at 6:00 p.m.
