Basketball Recap: Strake Jesuit's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against Clear Falls on Friday, Strake Jesuit came back down to earth. The Fighting Crusaders took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Lake Falcons on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Fighting Crusaders still had to take the loss.

Damon Miles had another great game (as he tends to do), going 13-for-22 to rack up 36 points for Clear Lake. Miles' big performance that morning made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Perkins, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Strake Jesuit moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Clear Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Strake Jesuit has already played their next game, a 78-62 win against Washington on the 6th. As for Clear Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 94-58 victory against Fort Bend Kempner on the 6th.
