Softball Game Preview: Tuscola Mountaineers vs. Pisgah Bears

The Tuscola Mountaineers will head out to square off against the Pisgah Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tuscola took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against North Buncombe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Tuscola had just enough and edged out North Buncombe 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.

Meanwhile, Pisgah can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Smoky Mountain. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

Pisgah now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Tuscola, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Tuscola couldn't quite get it done against Pisgah in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can Tuscola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
