Basketball Recap: Edgewood Academy Wildcats vs. Patrician Academy Saints
With a playoff game on the line, the Edgewood Academy Wildcats rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Saints 57-27 at home. Edgewood Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 22 points or more this season.
Lindsey Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Lexie Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Edgewood Academy pushed their record up to 26-3 with that win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Patrician Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Edgewood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Patrician Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
