Volleyball Recap: Teurlings Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked St. Joseph's Academy

Teurlings Catholic faced St. Joseph's Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rebels fell 2-0 to the Redstickers. The Rebels were not able to make up for their loss to the Redstickers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

Hannah Bergeron paced Teurlings Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Bergeron got some help from Anna Claire Hebert and her 19 assists.

Teurlings Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for St. Joseph's Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 7-6 record.

Looking ahead, Teurlings Catholic will stay at home for another game and welcome Northshore at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they will challenge Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
