Cleburne proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Side Steers, sneaking past 6-4. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jaycie Jones was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. Kadence Quzma was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Cleburne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cleburne's record now sits at 3-1. As for North Side, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cleburne will host Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleburne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season. As for North Side, they will take on Arlington at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
