Even though the Bristol Bay Angels have not done well against the Dillingham Wolverines recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Bristol Bay sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over Dillingham. This was payback for Bristol Bay, who suffered a 54-39 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bristol Bay was led to victory by Brooke Phelps and Olivia Harvilla. Phelps scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Harvilla scored 23 points along with two blocks.
Bristol Bay's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Dillingham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
