Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Golden Gators vs. Kentlake Falcons

Decatur and Kentlake are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Decatur Golden Gators will face off against the Kentlake Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Decatur is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Decatur came up short against Auburn Mountainview on Friday, falling 87-62. While losing is never fun, the Golden Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Lions are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Kentlake duked it out withFederal Way on Friday. Kentlake was outmatched by Federal Way and fell 80-48. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Kentlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Decatur took their victory against Kentlake in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 77-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Decatur since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
