Volleyball Recap: Crete-Monee Triumphs

Crete-Monee hadn't done well against Beecher recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bobcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since October 1, 2024.

Crete-Monee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Isis Shores had a dynamite game, getting 11 digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Crete-Monee has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Beecher, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Crete-Monee will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Reavis at 4:30 p.m. As for Beecher, they will venture away from home to challenge Bradley-Bourbonnais at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
