Southwood has gone 8-2 against Northfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will head out to face off against the Norsemen at 5:00 p.m. Southwood is looking for their season's first win.

Southwood came up short against Maconaquah on Monday, falling 10-1.

Dalton Barney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Northfield beat Lewis Cass 5-2 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Branson Hayslett, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Baer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Northfield's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-13. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Southwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Southwood skirted past Northfield 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Norsemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
