Baseball Recap: Conway Tigers vs. Georgetown Bulldogs

Georgetown hit Conway with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 back in March.

Landon Barker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Conway saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Todd, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Conway and nudges their season record down to 13-12. As for Georgetown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.
