Baseball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington fell victim to Kaiser and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cats. That's two games in a row now that the Bruins have lost by exactly four runs.

Bloomington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Velazquez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Bloomington has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Kaiser, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

While Bloomington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
