Baseball Recap: Quantico Comes Up Short

Quantico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Front Royal HomeSchool Flames. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flames this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-9 back in April.

Quantico saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was C Acevedo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Quantico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quantico will venture away from home to take on Randolph-Macon Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, they will square off against NOVA HomeSchool at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
