Football Recap: Suffield Academy Comes Up Short

Suffield Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-26 loss at the hands of the Phillips Exeter Academy Lions. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 42nd in Connecticut, while the Lions are ranked second in New Hampshire).

Suffield Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Phillips Exeter Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Suffield Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Cheshire Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Phillips Exeter Academy will face off against rival Phillips Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
