Basketball Recap: Indian Trail Extends Winning Streak to Three

Indian Trail put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-62 W against the Badger Badgers. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 61-41 victory the Badgers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Trail to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Meo, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 23 points and five rebounds. Malia Sanders was another key player, putting up 18 points along with seven boards and six steals.

Indian Trail smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 18 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Badger lost, don't look at Autumn Carr. Despite the final result, she went 5-for-6 en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Sally Gowan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Indian Trail's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Badger, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Indian Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-52 victory against Milwaukee Lutheran on the 10th. As for Badger, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-35 win against Burlington on the 5th.
