Baseball Game Preview: Muskogee Roughers vs. Wagoner Bulldogs

The Muskogee Roughers will take on the Wagoner Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Muskogee is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Muskogee fell victim to Union and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Redhawks by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Roughers have suffered since March 24th.

Muskogee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Browning, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Wagoner entered their match against Kansas on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs fell 7-3 to the Comets. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wagoner also got a good showing from Caleb Camp, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Wagoner's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Muskogee, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Muskogee was able to grind out a solid victory over Wagoner in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 7-4. Will the Roughers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
