Basketball Recap: Community Christian Comes Up Short

Community Christian played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Tigers, falling 57-33. The loss continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Autumn Bradshaw went 8-for-20 to rack up 19 points.

Trinity Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Burnham, who went 7-for-11 en route to 16 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marlee Little, who posted 11 points in addition to seven assists and six steals.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Trinity Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 28-5.

Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Faith Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian is facing Faith Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Faith Christian Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
