After losing to Archbishop Carroll the last time they met, Neumann-Goretti decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Saints enjoyed a cozy 78-61 win over the Lions on Sunday. The victory was familiar territory for the Saints, who have now won eight games in a row dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neumann-Goretti to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allassane N'Diaye, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds. Marquis Newson was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 17 points and four blocks.

Neumann-Goretti's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Archbishop Carroll, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Neumann-Goretti will square off against Haverford School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Archbishop Carroll, they have already played their next matchup, an 85-75 victory against Our Lady of Good Counsel on the 10th.
