Baseball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

Holly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eads Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Holly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Eaton, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Eaton also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Holly's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Eads, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eads beat Holly by a score of 17-2 later that day.
