Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles East Fighting Saints vs. Glenbard West Hilltoppers

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will take on the Glenbard West Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, St. Charles East ended up a good deal behind Wheaton-Warrenville South and lost 61-42. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Tigers are ranked 72nd).

Meanwhile, Glenbard West entered their tilt with Oak Park-River Forest on Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Huskies.

St. Charles East's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games. As for Glenbard West, they pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
