Baseball Game Preview: Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans vs. Berwick Bulldogs

Greater Nanticoke Area is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Berwick an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans will host the Berwick Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Greater Nanticoke Area fell victim to Wyoming Valley West and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, Berwick also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 12-0 to Hazleton Area on Monday.

Berwick saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Lisnock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Greater Nanticoke Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Berwick, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Greater Nanticoke Area took their win against Berwick in their previous matchup back in May of 2019 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
