Softball Recap: Mishawaka Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mishawaka's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Penn Kingsmen on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Cavemen were not able to get on the board.

Mishawaka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holly Shine, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mishawaka's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Penn, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Mishawaka will challenge Chesterton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavemen are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Penn, they will take on Center Grove at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
