Volleyball Game Preview: Canton-Galva Eagles vs. Little River Redskins

Canton-Galva is 0-10 against Little River since October of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Eagles will face off against the Redskins. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canton-Galva comes in on three and Little River on ten.

On Tuesday, Canton-Galva was able to grind out a solid victory over Solomon, taking the game 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Canton-Galva took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14.

Canton-Galva found their leader in sophomore Londyn Dietrich, who had eight digs and three aces.

Canton-Galva was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last two contests.

If Solomon wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Little River, they should've done a better job of containing Adelynne Strecker. The Redskins came out on top against the Gorillas by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Strecker, who had 11 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Little River was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-6.

Canton-Galva's record now sits at 16-12. As for Little River, their record is now 28-2.

Canton-Galva came up short against Little River in their previous meeting on Saturday, falling 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
