Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shell Lake). Everything went their way against the Drummond Lumberjacks on Monday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Shell Lake is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Drummond, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Shell Lake will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Unity at 5:00 p.m. The Lakers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
