Baseball Game Preview: Prattville Christian Academy Panthers vs. Maplesville Red Devils

The Prattville Christian Academy Panthers will challenge the Maplesville Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Maplesville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Prattville Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

If Prattville Christian Academy beats Maplesville with six runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Panthers came out on top against Saint James by a score of 6-3 on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ethan Walls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prattville Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Diefenderfer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Maplesville came up short against Billingsley on Thursday and fell 9-4. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden Atcheson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Cade Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Prattville Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Maplesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
