Baseball Recap: Needles' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Needles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Pahrump Valley Trojans. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Needles let Tyler Wilson and JD Lusk run wild. Wilson scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Lusk scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Wilson is becoming a predictor of Needles' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-4-1 when he doesn't).

The win got Needles back to even at 5-5-1. As for Pahrump Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4-1.

Needles didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-0 victory against Awaken Christian on the 21st. As for Pahrump Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against Virgin Valley on the 24th.
