Recap: North Fort Myers Red Knights vs. Ida Baker Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, the North Fort Myers Red Knights rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Bulldogs 111-81 at home. North Fort Myers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Isaiah Newson, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 69 points and 3 assists. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of North Fort Myers' points. Khalid Bourne was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
North Fort Myers' victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Ida Baker, they dropped their record down to 1-21 with that loss, which was their 25th straight on the road dating back to last season.
North Fort Myers will take on Charlotte at TBD on Thursday. Charlotte will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Fort Myers surely won't give up without a fight. Ida Baker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
