Volleyball Recap: South Paulding Takes a Loss

South Paulding lost against Alexander back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While South Paulding ultimately came up short, they really made Alexander work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-17.

Lindsey Henry paced South Paulding's offense, picking up five kills. Henry got some help from Rhamaya Ramos and her six assists. Henry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

South Paulding has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-21 record this season. As for Alexander, they pushed their record up to 24-16 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

South Paulding has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Lithia Springs on the 9th. As for Alexander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Villa Rica on the 9th.
