Basketball Recap: Rio Grande Comes Up Short

Rio Grande came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 76-41 loss at the hands of the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Jaguars are ranked 14th).

Rio Grande dropped their record down to 4-23 with the loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Rio Grande nor Atrisco Heritage Academy have any future games scheduled.
