Basketball Recap: Sprayberry Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

It's playoff time, and Sprayberry had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Gainesville Red Elephants on Wednesday as the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets made off with a 70-49 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Yellow Jackets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Red Elephants are ranked tenth).

Sprayberry is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Gainesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

As of now, neither Sprayberry nor Gainesville have any future games scheduled.
