Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Ridge). They beat the MacArthur Cardinals by a goal, winning 2-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Khai Slater and Bryce Sampson scored both of Lake Ridge's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Lake Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for MacArthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Lake Ridge didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Midlothian Heritage on the 16th. MacArthur has also already played their next contest (against Nimitz), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
