Recap: Lancaster Country Day vs. Conestoga Christian Cougars

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lancaster Mennonite, Lancaster Country Day were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They managed a 67-63 victory over Conestoga Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

When it comes to explaining why Conestoga Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Paul Hurst. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with eight rebounds. Hurst is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Boutaugh, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Lancaster Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Conestoga Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Lancaster Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next game is against High Point Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Conestoga Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
