Soccer Game Preview: Winfield vs. Parkersburg + How To Watch

The Winfield Generals will venture away from home to square off against the Parkersburg Big Reds at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Winfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Winfield gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Shady Spring by a score of 3-1.

Winfield hit the Tigers with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brady Sutler, Shae Knolles, and Kaden Flower.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Parkersburg was forced to settle for a draw. They and Spring Valley finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

With that draw, Parkersburg's record moves to 6-6-1. As for Winfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-2 record this season.

Winfield was able to grind out a solid win over Parkersburg in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
