Volleyball Recap: Mapletown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mapletown lost against Fort Cherry back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Maples came up short against the Rangers, falling 3-0. Maples fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Rangers since Monday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Treslee Weston paced Mapletown's offense, picking up seven kills. Weston got some help from Marley Shiflett and her nine assists. Shiflett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophia Vanata, racking up two apiece.

Mapletown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fort Cherry, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Mapletown will square off against Avella at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Cherry, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m.
