A well-balanced attack led Northland Christian over Heartland in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Northland Christian blew Heartland out of the water with a 53-19 final score. Northland Christian pushed the score to 44-19 by the end of the third, a deficit Heartland had little chance of recovering from.

Northland Christian had a senior duo take command as Ruby Wheeler shot 40% from the field on her way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals and Molly Day went 8-for-18 to rack up 18 points and eight boards. The matchup was Wheeler's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Macy Doss, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Northland Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Northland Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 37 points this season. As for Heartland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
