Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Northridge

Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Northridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mountain Lions will challenge the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. Mountain View will be strutting in after a win while Northridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Mountain View will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Severance on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions blew past the Silver Knights 5-0. Elynn Hickey was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Northridge's offense. They came up short against Thompson Valley on Monday, falling 10-0.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those three games. As for Northridge, they now have a losing record of 5-6-3.
