Charlotte Latin waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Covenant Day Lions. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 1-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Graham Blanton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Charlotte Latin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Hawa, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Hawa a new career-high.

Charlotte Latin pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant Day, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

Charlotte Latin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
