Baseball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Bay Indians. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Connor Cress made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Harris, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for East Bay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11.

Coincidentally, Freedom and East Bay will both be playing Hillsborough the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
