Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Seton Catholic entered their tilt with Fort Vancouver on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They strolled past the Fort Vancouver Trappers with points to spare, taking the game 74-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-55 back in December of 2024.

Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Fort Vancouver, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Seton Catholic Cougars face off against the La Center Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seton Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully La Center likes a good challenge. As for Fort Vancouver, they will square off against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fort Vancouver is facing Stevenson at the right time seeing as Stevenson is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
