Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian was the 49-35 winner over Asheboro Hybrid Academy when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Christian Eagles took a hard 79-60 fall against the Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at Hayden Arnett. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-20 en route to 25 points. Arnett continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Robbins, who posted eight points and six steals.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Levi Gaskins, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave Gaskins a new career-high in assists (three). Carter Edmonds was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 23 points and six rebounds.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Faith Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-60 loss against Union Grove Christian on the 14th. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-50 win against Cornerstone Christian Academy on the 13th.
