Baseball Recap: New Site Drops Season-High Score on Belmont

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Site). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Belmont Cardinals on Saturday. With that win, the Royals brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Rilyn Lambert, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Landon Stanley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

New Site always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .774. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

New Site's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Belmont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

New Site has already played their next contest, a 25-5 win against Walnut on the 25th. As for Belmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 loss against Booneville on the 25th.
