Basketball Recap: St. Brendan Comes Up Short

St. Brendan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-23 loss at the hands of the Westminster Christian Warriors. The Sabres were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Bella Perez and Karina Dominguez certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Perez posted 14 points, while Dominguez scored four points.

St. Brendan's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Westminster Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

St. Brendan will challenge Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Brendan surely won't give up without a fight. Westminster Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
