Baseball Recap: Red Lion Comes Up Short

Red Lion entered their game against Central York on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions fell 4-1 to the Panthers. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Red Lion's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1. As for Central York, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Red Lion will head out to square off against Northeastern at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Central York, they will challenge Spring Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
